1. Q: Why Grandi's voip hardware is inexpensive? Does the product use some cheap components?
A: All of our product's design is based on a single ARM9 common CPU and we use general components to design the outside circuit. So that's why we can get the best performance and the lowest cost simultaneously. We are pay attention to the product's quality very much and our factory gained the ISO9001 certification in 1999.
2. Q: Why we need two Ethernet ports?
A: If you just have only one Ethernet Jack in your office table, then you need a mini switch including two ports for connecting your PC. If you do not have a SOHO router in your home, you need a mini router including two ports for connecting your PC. All our products have at lest two 10/ 100M Ethernet ports that can be configured as either switched or routed ports.
3. Q: What is the difference between the LAN port and WAN port ?
A: The WAN Port is used to connect internet or intranet, the LAN port is used to connect your PC or laptop.
4. Q: How to upgrade the firmware?
A: BY IE:
Click "Upgrade firmware" in the web configuration page, and then click “Browse…” to choose the correct firmware file in your disk. Please note that the updated firmware is in .bin extension. Finally click "Upgrade firmware" button to upgrade.
5. Q: How to use the IVR function?
A: Y ou can use IVR function to observe and set the network parameters by picking up the handset and dial *## to enter IVR menu.
6. Q: How to reset to factory default?
A: BY IE:
Click "Reset to default" in the web configuration page, and reboot the device
BY IVR:
Dial "*##" to enter the voice menu, and fallow the voice prompt.
7. Q: How to set the IP assignment type via keypad?
A: Enter IVR main menu and press key "1" to enter “IP mode" submenu, and fallow the prompt to select “DHCP" or “Static IP" or “PPPoe"
8. Q: How can I know the IP address?
A: Enter IVR main menu and press key "2" to enter “IP Address" submenu, and the device will prompt you its IP address automatically.
9. Q: How to change the LAN port MAC address?
A: You can use the “MAC Address Clone “function.
Q: Does the GIX100 support T.38 real time faxing?
A: No, in the current version of GIX100 it does not support T.38 real time faxing. But our GIX101 support T.38 faxing.
Q:How many servers may GIP300 register simultaneously?
A: GIP300 is able to register two SIP servers simultaneously
Q: What is the difference between the Phone port and Line Port ?
A: Phone port is used to connect your analogue phone, and the Line port is used to connect the landline.
Q: How to use GIX 101' s Lifeline function ?
A: GIX101 supports Lifeline function, you can use the same handset to place PSTN and VoIP calls. Firstly, you need to connect the GIX 101' s Phone port to your analogue phone, then connect the landline to the GIX 101' s Line port. You can receive PSNT and VoIP calls.
When you want to place a PSTN calls, you can first press # to switch to the PSTN line and then place your call as you normal did.
Q: Does the GVR101 support T.38 real time faxing?
A: Yes.
Q: How to use GIP2000B's Lifeline function?
A: The same as GIX101.
Q: Does the GVR111 support T.38 function?
A: Yes.
